11 Beloved, (A)do not imitate evil but imitate good. (B)Whoever does good is from God; (C)whoever does evil has not seen God. 12 Demetrius (D)has received a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself. We also add our testimony, and (E)you know that our testimony is true.

13 (F)I had much to write to you, but I would rather not write with pen and ink. 14 I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face.
15 Peace be to you. The friends greet you. Greet the friends, (G)each by name.

11 Ἀγαπητέ, μὴ μιμοῦ τὸ κακὸν ἀλλὰ τὸ ἀγαθόν. ὁ ἀγαθοποιῶν ἐκ τοῦ θεοῦ ἐστιν· ὁ κακοποιῶν οὐχ ἑώρακεν τὸν θεόν. 12 Δημητρίῳ μεμαρτύρηται ὑπὸ πάντων καὶ ὑπὸ αὐτῆς τῆς ἀληθείας· καὶ ἡμεῖς δὲ μαρτυροῦμεν, καὶ [a]οἶδας ὅτι ἡ μαρτυρία ἡμῶν ἀληθής ἐστιν.
13 Πολλὰ εἶχον [b]γράψαι σοι, ἀλλ’ οὐ θέλω διὰ μέλανος καὶ καλάμου σοι [c]γράφειν· 14 ἐλπίζω δὲ εὐθέως [d]σε ἰδεῖν, καὶ στόμα πρὸς στόμα λαλήσομεν.
15 Εἰρήνη σοι. ἀσπάζονταί σε οἱ φίλοι. ἀσπάζου τοὺς φίλους κατ’ ὄνομα.
